Gilbert Thomas "Gil" Patterson (born September 5, 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is former Major League Baseball pitcher.
Patterson was drafted by the New York Yankees as the 7th pick of the 1975 June Secondary Draft. He made his debut on April 19, 1977 with the Yankees. Patterson would only pitch in ten games for New York, having one win, with two loses. He continued to pitch in the minor leagues, but did not return to the majors.
He joined the Arizona Diamondbacks organization as minor league pitching coordinator from 1997 to 2000. In 2001, he worked for the Toronto Blue Jays as the bullpen coach in 2001 and then as pitching coach from 2002 to 2004. He then worked as a minor league pitching coach in 2005 for the Triple-A Columbus Clippers and in 2006 and 2007 with the Gulf Coast League Yankees. Since 2008, Patterson has served as the minor league pitching coordinator for the Oakland Athletics organization.
